Pressure Washing For Parker Water And Sanitation
We got a call to pressure wash the inside of an underground tank. The Parker Water & Sanitation District needed to remove years of sediment buildup from the walls and floor of one of the tanks at the Clarke Farms Well House & Treatment Facility.
It would have been a simple project – except the tank was underground and confined space. We worked with Velocity Constructors who specialize in heavy industrial construction involving water pumping stations, water tanks, and water treatment plants. They’re the experts in confined space.
We had to have high volume pumps to pull the water out of the deep hole and large tanks to hold it. We also had to run electrical down for the lights.
And we had to have oxygen to operate in the confined space. Once the pressure washers started blasting the walls clean, the moisture made it difficult to breathe down there. Our crew had to be specially fit so the oxygen masks worked right. But before they could be fitted, they had to pass a physical.
This project took longer due to the complications involved with pressure washing underground in a confined space. But everything was done as safely and efficiently as possible.
If you have an underground or confined space project you need to have pressure washed, give us a call.
