Foothills Commercial Builders, the construction company that remodeled the building at 1520 E. Colfax Avenue called us to clean up the alley that runs between the building and the one behind it on Humboldt Street.
Like many other buildings in downtown Denver, the back of the building had not had much care over the years. Since the building was being converted into a restaurant, they needed it be cleaned to restaurant quality.
Many birds had been nesting in the alley and there were a lot of feathers and bird dropping stains to be cleaned from the walls. We needed ladders and extension wands to reach the higher areas.
When you’re dealing with bird droppings, you need to be aware of the potential health hazards. There are a lot of diseases that may be carried and you need to wear some protective clothing to keep from getting splattered.

Pressure Washing With Water Recovery In Downtown Denver
As we did the pressure washing, all the wastewater ran out of the alley and across the sidewalk. We had to do water recovery to prevent all the dirty water from getting into the storm drain.
Using a pressure washer is fairly easy – you just pull the trigger on the gun and hold on. But doing any job correctly usually requires special training and experience to get it right.
