Our car washing crews have been dealing with some extra dirty cars this week.

The Lower North Fork Fire has spewed smoke over the entire Denver metro area for the last few days and much of the soot and ash has settled on all the cars. Since our car washing service cleans thousands of cars each week for Denver area auto dealers, we’ve put in a lot of extra effort to get them clean.

Sometimes they come clean with just a little extra elbow grease. But in the area where the ash came down heavier, we might have to add an extra step to get the cars clean. And we can’t really define the area that has been hit the hardest. It just depends on where the winds were blowing when the ash was the heaviest.

Car Washing For Thousands of Auto Dealers Cars Every Week

Some auto dealer lots are more exposed and get hit harder with the weather – be it snow or soot. And they have to wash their cars more often to keep them clean. The saying, “Clean cars sell” truly applies.

If you’re out looking at cars to buy, you’re much less likely to even go in to a car lot where the cars are dirty. If they’re not shiny, they don’t draw the buyers in. And they look like they haven’t been taken care of which makes them look much less appealing, too.

Some auto dealers have their own lot techs wash the cars. But then they have noisy machines and water on their lots for most of the day. The dealers that call us for car washing find it’s more cost effective to use our service than to have extra employees.

Because our car washing crews average more than 100 cars per hour, we’re in and out quickly so there is less interference with people shopping for cars.
